How it works, start to finish

No hardware to install, no server, no IT project. Here is exactly what happens between booking a demo and sending your client their first report.

The whole process

Six steps, and only two of them take any time

01

Book a 20-minute demo

We show you the dashboard and the guard app running on a real site, and you tell us what your operation looks like. No slide deck, no obligation, and we will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.

02

Set up your sites

On a screen share, we add your clients, sites, checkpoints and patrol routes together. Under an hour for a first site, and you will know how to do the next one yourself.

01

Fit the checkpoints

Stick NFC tags or laminated QR codes at the points that matter — gates, fire doors, plant, roof access, perimeter corners. Or start with GPS checkpoints and add physical tags later.

02

Add your officers

Invite guards by mobile number. They install the free app from the App Store or Google Play and log in. Five minutes of training at a handover is enough.

01

Publish the rota

Build the week, assign officers to sites and shifts, and publish. Everyone sees their own schedule on their phone straight away, with site notes attached.

02

Monitor and report

Watch patrols live, deal with alerts as they come in, and send your client a report — or schedule it to send itself every Monday morning.

A typical night, once it is running

This is what the system does while you are asleep.

  • 19:00 — officers clock on. Time and position recorded against the booked shift.
  • 19:20 — first tour starts. Checkpoint scans appear live on the dashboard.
  • 21:45 — a fence panel is found damaged. The officer photographs it and files an incident from the spot.
  • 22:10 — high-severity incident emails the duty manager automatically.
  • 01:00 — a tour is running late. The system alerts the control room while there is still time to call.
  • 03:30 — a check-in timer expires. Alert raised, supervisor calls, officer is fine.
  • 07:00 — officers clock off. Hours are already sitting on the timesheet.
  • 07:05 — the scheduled morning report lands in the client's inbox.

What you need

The complete shopping list

This is everything. There is nothing else to buy.

Your guards' own phones

Any reasonably recent Android or iPhone. No company handsets, no proprietary devices, no wands or docking stations.

Some checkpoint tags

NFC tags at a few pence to around 50p each, or QR codes you print yourself. Buy them from any supplier — nothing is locked to us.

A browser

The dashboard runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox on any computer. Nothing to install and nothing to maintain.

No, really — that is it. No servers, no site surveys, no annual hardware refresh, no engineer visit. The whole reason we can charge £60 a month is that there is nothing physical in the chain.

Getting your officers on board

The software is the easy part. Rolling it out to a workforce that has been signing paper sheets for fifteen years takes slightly more thought, so here is what works for our customers.

Lead with the SOS button, not the tracking

Introduce it as a safety system that also records patrols, because that is genuinely what it is. Officers who work alone at night care a great deal about being able to raise an alarm.

Be straight about what is tracked

Tell them plainly: location is recorded while clocked on, and not at any other time. Put it in writing. The objection almost always disappears once people understand the boundary.

Start with one site and one supervisor

Pick a site with a switched-on supervisor, run it for a week, and let them tell everyone else it is fine. That works far better than a company-wide announcement.

Show them the report you send the client

Officers who see that their work is now visible and evidenced tend to take more pride in it, not less. The people who object hardest are usually the ones the system is designed to catch.

FAQs

Getting started — common questions

Most companies are running on their first site the same day. The setup call takes under an hour, fitting checkpoints takes an hour or two per site, and training a guard takes about five minutes.

Yes, and it is included in the price. We do it with you on a screen share so you know how to add the next site yourself — most customers do their second site without us.

A list of your clients and sites, a rough idea of where checkpoints should go, and the names and mobile numbers of your officers. That is genuinely it.

Barely. The app has one main action — scan the checkpoint — and one safety action. Five minutes at a handover covers it. We supply a one-page guide you can print and put in the gatehouse.

This comes up on nearly every demo. The scanning flow is deliberately a single screen with a large button. In practice the officers people worry about tend to be fine within a shift or two.

Yes, and we recommend it. Run both for a week on one site, compare the reports, then switch the rest across once you are comfortable.

Call, email or WhatsApp us. Support is UK-based, included in the price, and you will speak to someone who knows the product rather than reading from a script.

See it working on your own sites — in 20 minutes

Book a free, no-pressure demo. We will set up a sample site, add a couple of checkpoints and show you a live patrol on screen. No card details, no contract, no sales script.
